OpenTHC responds to State of Vermont Request for Proposals on Adult-Use Cannabis License portal
On April 6, 2023, OpenTHC, Inc. responded to a State of Vermont Cannabis Control Board Request for Proposals. The purpose of the RFP was to "implement software solutions for web portal, public facing database, reporting, document and case management, compliance and track seed-to-sale for its Cannabis Adult Use Program."
OpenTHC’s 57-page response highlights the flexibility and completeness of the OpenTHC Platform. The response debut’s the OpenTHC License Applicant Portal (LAP), designed to meet the State of Vermont's requirements for processing business license applications. LAP is a OpenTHC Common application, and has special interfaces to integrate with the State’s Salesforce environment. OpenTHC's solution also incorporates the OpenTHC API data specification. The API enables data exchange between systems, and provides a basis for the State to build out their data footprint.
The OpenTHC team regards this response as one of our most successful. On May 4, 2023, the State invited the OpenTHC team to present a demonstration of the solution on May 18. The proposed LAP solution did not exist in a demonstrable form at that time. The team used this opportunity to discuss the high level design goals of the project, and the project management plan for achieving the State’s goals. This was the team’s first opportunity to present their solution to public actors. Additionally, this was the team’s first time using large language models to analyze the State’s requirements.
Founded in 2016, OpenTHC has a proven track record of helping over 500 cannabis industry participants complete their compliance requirements. As the public sector continues to take an interest in the open source community, we remain proud and privileged to be a part of this process.
